Who should use the Standard Brand path?

Any entity (LLC, Inc, Corp, Partnership, or registered Non-Profit) that has a valid Tax ID (such as a US EIN). This registration type allows for higher messaging limits, shared numbers across a campaign, and generates a TCR Trust Score.

01

Confirm eligibility first

Ensure the customer has the correct corporate documents ready.

Use Standard Brand

  • Possesses a valid US EIN or recognized international Tax ID
  • Registered LLC, Corporation, Partnership, or Non-profit
  • Needs high throughput or to link multiple local numbers

Use another path

  • Individual acting as a Sole Proprietor with NO Tax ID
  • Cannot verify corporate legal name/address
  • Messaging involves strictly prohibited categories (e.g., CBD, High-risk finance)
02

Brand Approval Best Practices

Following these rules prevents 90% of Standard Brand rejections.

Exact Legal Name Match

The Legal Business Name must match exactly what is on the CP-575 or SS-4 IRS form. Do not include DBA names here. Commas, periods, and suffixes (LLC, Inc) must match the IRS record precisely.

Accurate Tax ID (EIN)

Ensure the Tax ID matches the Legal Business Name provided. For US companies, this is the Employer Identification Number (EIN). Double-check for typos.

Physical Address

Provide the exact physical address associated with the legal entity. This must match the address on file with the IRS or local tax authority.

Online Presence & Privacy

The submitted website must be live, function correctly, and feature a compliant Privacy Policy explicitly stating that mobile information/SMS data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cross-Reference Tax Documents

Ask the customer to physically reference their CP-575 / W-9 / Tax letter when filling out the Legal Name and EIN fields. Guesses lead to immediate rejections.
